La Grotta Ristorante Italiano: Authentic Italian Dining Experience in Atlanta

Me and my husband had the most amazing first experience at La Grotta. The service and atmosphere was wonderful but the food absolutely blew us away. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We had appetizer portions of pasta for our appetizers just so we could try more of the pasta. The beggars purse and ravioli were our absolute favorites. They gave us complimentary glasses of bubbly for our anniversary and we had the amazing chocolate torte with gelato for dessert. We will absolutely return here!

It was phenomenal. Amanda was the bartender, one the greatest of the new generation. She had all the answers. Best drinks, best food. Her service was amazing. Upon her recommendation we chose the lobster pasta which was some of the best pasta sauce I’ve ever had, loaded with tender lobster and a creamy and rich taste to it. We got two Caesar salads, which was the best I think I’ve had in Atlanta for sure. The crème brûlée was amazing, perfectly torched, the second or third best I’ve ever had. The meal did not miss. You have to make a reservation and the dress code is strictly enforced. I will definitely return, money well spent.

One of our favorite fine dining restaurants in Atlanta. I love their mussels for appetizer, my husband loves the caesar salad. For main meal we'll always share 3-4 pasta dishes (you can order any of their pasta dishes as appetizer size, which is great for trying different ones). For desert, the Creme Brulee is just fantastic, especially when paired with their vanilla gelato.

The very Best Italian food in Atlanta, according to David Finnis one of there many good customers. Extreme fine dishes, outstanding wait staff total professional. The very best service and experience you could very hope for. I will be back and I look forward to it.

Hidden Gem!! Celebrated my birthday with family here and had an amazing evening. Everyone on our service team was outstanding and the recommendation for every course was exceptional. The dishes were bursting with flavor and portion size was perfect. Can’t wait to come back and try more!!

We had a reservation for 4 on Monday, 10/14/24 at 6:30 pm. Service was excellent! Valet parking. Dimly lit, almost speakeasy-vibes because it’s off the beaten path, downstairs of an apartment building. I split a salad with one other person, we all shared 2 sides, and we each got an entree. Here’s what I had: - Insalata Giulio Cesare ($13.95): Good!! - Brussels Sprouts: We were actually all disappointed in these. They were soft, when we wanted them to be crispy. - Burrata with Peaches: Very tasty! - Sacchetti di Formaggio e Tartufi Neri ($27.95): Amaaaaazing, just how I remembered it. So rich and creamy and delectable. Such a great restaurant for a special occasion!

An authentic Italian gem! I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while, and it definitely didn’t disappoint! The food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing—definitely traditional Italian cuisine at its best! This spot is located in the basement of a small apartment building, so you might not expect it to be as impressive as it is when you first pull up. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu because everything I had was fantastic!

We went here to celebrate a graduation and it was so beautiful! Downstairs of an apartment complex and we sat outside on the patio area. Very intimate and pretty. We got the prosciutto appetizer and the calamari. They were both good but I will say the portion sizes are on the smaller side. I got the Sachetti pasta which was incredible, and I had a great grapefruit cocktail as well. We ended the night with dessert (delicious crème brûlée) and they gave us some free champagne to celebrate the graduation! Wonderful service and a nice atmosphere.
